Atlanta Faith Leader Luncheon

The Black Church & HIV: The Social Justice Imperative is hosting a town hall luncheon to discuss the impact of HIV in Atlanta and how the faith community can join together to fight the epidemic. During the town hall, Rev. William Francis will serve as moderator, guiding discussion on the principles of T.R.U.T.H. Campaign:

  • Testing – a valuable and important tool for HIV prevention
  • Responsibility – must be assumed by faith based organizations and individuals
  • Understanding – HIV is a social justice issue
  • Testimony –the guiding proof point of the impact of the HIV epidemic
  • Healing – the final and hardest step to overcoming HIV

T.R.U.T.H. is at the heart of The Black Church & HIV’s mission to engage faith leaders and inspire them to get involved in ending the HIV epidemic by educating their congregants and communities, particularly in high-prevalence ZIP codes. In addition, faith leaders will have the opportunity to join The Black Church & HIV initiative by committing to incorporate HIV as a social justice issue in their congregations.
